Sonipat: A woman’s body was found in a mutilated state in the Western Yamuna Link Canal near Kakroi village in Sadar police station area. When people saw the body in the canal, they called the police. Following information, police reached the spot, took possession of the body and shifted it to the civil hospital. Police searched the area but the body could not be identified. The police are trying to identify the body.
On Tuesday afternoon, people informed police after spotting a woman’s body in the Western Yamuna Link Canal near Kakroi village. Following this, Sadar police station reached the spot and retrieved the body from the canal. Police called people nearby and tried to identify the body but were unable to identify it. According to police, the woman’s age is around 40 years old. He is wearing a blue salwar suit. Police called a fingerprint expert team to the scene and collected evidence. Speaking on the matter, Police Station Superintendent Karmjit Singh said that the body was mutilated due to being in the water. Continuous identification efforts are being made. The woman’s photo was sent to nearby police stations along with Panipat and Karnal police. In addition, information about missing women from their police station was also obtained.
