Sirsa: A young man was stabbed to death in Badagudha village of the district over an old rivalry. After receiving the information, the police reached the spot, took possession of the body and initiated the investigation. Based on the statement of the deceased’s brother, the police registered a case against villager Makhan Singh and initiated an investigation.

Gurdeep Singh, a resident of Badagudha, said his brother Gurvinder Singh was unmarried. On the complaint of the daughter of Vindra Singh, a resident of the same village, an abuse case was registered against his brother. His brother returned after spending two months in prison. His brother Gurvindra was repeatedly threatened with death by Makhan Singh, a resident of Badagudha and son of Vindra Singh’s aunt, when he was released on bail. On October 1 at 8 p.m., his brother Gurvinder Singh had gone to work after dinner. When he didn’t come back for a long time, they looked for him in the neighborhood but couldn’t find him. When he reached near Krishna Seth’s house around 10.30-11pm, he saw his brother Gurvinder Singh lying on the ground in the glow of light while Makhan Singh hit his brother on the head with a knife.

Raising the alarm, Makhan Singh fled the spot. As he got closer, he saw that his brother had many deep wounds on his head and hips. There was blood. There were also two broken poles nearby. His brother died on site. As soon as the information came in, the police were on the scene. The crime scene team was informed. The police took the body to the civil hospital for post-mortem. On the statement of the deceased’s brother Gurdeep Singh, the police registered a murder case against Makhan Singh and started searching for him.
