All workers at Dabwali Vegetable Market went on strike on Sunday

Sirsa News:Beset by blackmail and false complaints, all workers at Dabwali Vegetable Market went on strike on Sunday. The workers staged a sit-in at the vegetable market, saying their strike would continue and pickets would be held daily until the police took strict action against the two people who harassed the vegetable vendors.

Ashok Kumar, head of the Sabzi Mandi Aadhati Association in Dabwali, clarified that two youths have been harassing the shopkeepers of the vegetable market for some time. Ashok Kumar said one of these youths used to work in the vegetable market and stole some important papers, goods, etc. from the shopkeepers. By creating fake documents from these documents and based on some other false complaints, this young man is now troubling shopkeepers by meeting another of his Hanumangarh Companions. He said the jobbers had also filed a complaint with the Deputy District Commissioner about this. This complaint gave detailed information about the names, addresses and actions of these two youths. According to Ashok Kumar, a complaint was also lodged with the SDM by Dabwali on April 21 regarding the said youth’s actions. Even after a long time no action was taken. On the other hand, the harassment activities of these youths are increasing day by day. According to Ashok Kumar, vendors at the vegetable market are being subjected to psychological harassment over alleged blackmail and false complaints.

He said that in light of all these things, the Sabzi Mandi Aadhati Association decided to take a strike-like move. The Sabzi Mandi Aadhati Association demands that the police administration should take strict action on this matter and crack down on those involved in this kind of theft, extortion and false complaints. According to Ashok Kumar, all shopkeepers at the vegetable market will go on strike until concrete action is taken on the matter. On the other hand, as soon as the information about the case came in, Shailendra Kumar, head of the Dabwali Police Station, met with the vegetable market agents and listened to them. Shailendra Kumar assured the traders that any action taken against the accused as a result of the complaint in this matter will be implemented.
