Sirsa: SHO took 40,000 bribes through a broker

Sirsa: Haryana Anti Corruption Bureau arrested a recruiter for taking a bribe of Rs. 40,000 on behalf of an inspector stationed as SHO at Badaguda Police Station in Sirsa District. The broker in the middleman role has been identified as Sukhraj aka Raja while the SHO has been identified as Kashi Ram. Sukhraj was arrested on the report of Rajkumar, a resident of Sirsa district. He had asked for bribes instead of in any case not incriminating the complainant.

The applicant turned to the ACB and alleged that Inspector Kashi Ram, SHO of Badaguda Police Station, sought a bribe of Rs. 40,000 through an intermediary for failing to involve him in a case brought under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act was registered at Badaguda Police Station. Based on the complaint, the ACB team assembled the team to conduct the raid after fact-checking and, in the presence of independent witnesses, arresting the accused broker Sukhraj red-handed while accepting a Rs.40,000 bribe from the complainant . In this context, a case under the Corruption Prevention Law was registered against both defendants at the ACB Hisar Police Station. Further investigations into this matter are ongoing.
