Tensions ran high between supporters of the Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (HSGPC) and the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak (SGPC) Committee as Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee head Baba Karmjit Singh and outgoing head Baljit Singh at the historic Gurdwara Sahib Patshahi Chhathi on Monday Daduwal and other members made Shukrana Ardaas after completing the service of Guru Ghar. During Ardas itself, SGPC supporters and other escorts attempted to snatch the mic from HSGPC members protesting against taking over the ministry from Gurughar. After that, a scuffle began between HSGPC and SGPC supporters.
Baljit Singh Daduwal’s security personnel pushed Shiromani Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee supporters out of the gurdwara. Local police took the SGPC supporters to Krishna Gate Police Station. Speaking to reporters after Ardaas, HSGPC chief Baba Karmjit Singh said that the sangat sat with great love during Ardaas. Tejender Pal Dhillon, a member of the SGPC Dharma Prachar Committee, and about 6 supporters who came with him, started stirring things up as soon as they arrived. On the one hand they said that the HSGPC violated decency, now we want to ask whether they created or violated decency here. Baba Karmjit Singh said he urges the Haryana government and administration to crack down on such people and take the strictest measures. HSGPC chief Baba Karmjeet Singh said he would complain to the police and would also write to the Supreme Court and Shri Akal Takht Sahib.

Committee members had targeted Golak in Gurdwara Sahib. The SGPC warned that no effort should be made to capture Gurdwaras in Haryana. The SGPC had also accused the HSGPC of violating Gurdwara sanctity by operating cutters on Golak at Gurdwara Sahib. Speaking to reporters, Baljit Singh Daduwal said that members of the SGPC stirred up disturbances in the decorated divan and left cheers. Thereupon Sangat took him out. He said that the Haryana Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee renders its services. He said religious and legal action should be taken against those who caused the unrest.
