Sirsa: On Monday afternoon, unknown youths entered a goldsmith workshop at Preet Nagar on Begu Road in the city, attacked the operator, committed robbery and fled from the spot. Hearing the noise, people nearby reached the spot and took the shopkeeper to the hospital for treatment. After receiving the information, the relevant city police along with the DSP went to the spot and recorded information about the incident. The police have registered a case against the perpetrators and initiated an investigation.
According to the information, there is a gold and silver shop in Preet Nagar under the name Ram Gopal Jewellers. It was reported that unknown people came into the store in the afternoon. The people in question attacked the operator with a sharp weapon and committed a robbery. After the miscreants left, the injured shopkeeper came out noisily and asked people for help. Eyewitness Amit says the clerk came out of the store and said, “Save, save.” There was a knife stuck in his stomach. He said miscreants attacked and looted everything. The miscreants even broke the CCTV and DVR installed in it. People then took the injured shopkeeper to a private hospital for treatment and informed the police about the incident.
After receiving information, city police and DSP Jagat Singh reached the spot and started investigation. DSP said that the real truth about the incident will be known only after the statement of the shop owner is recorded. Police have launched a preliminary investigation and started questioning people nearby. The special thing about this robbery was that the surrounding shopkeepers didn’t even know about the incident that took place in the shop during the day. The injured shop owner only found out about the incident after the perpetrators left and raised the alarm.
