Kaithal: Near the canal in Siwan town in the afternoon, three motorcycle-borne miscreants looted Rs 2.5 lakh from an elderly man who was on his way back after withdrawing money from the bank by putting chilli in his mouth eyes had sprayed. On Tuesday afternoon at 3 pm, elder Santokh Singh, a resident of Dera Bahadur Singh in Govindpur village, returned to his village after withdrawing Rs 2.5 lakh of rice from the State Bank of India in Siwan. As soon as he reached Dera Sacha Sauda near the Grand Canal on his motorcycle, three motorcyclists threw chilli in his eyes. As soon as he stopped the motorcycle and started cleaning his eyes, the youth started snatching the bag of money from his hand. The old man did not give his bag to the villains and fought with the three youths on the canal track for a long time. During the altercation, Santosh Singh also called for help, but due to isolation, no one could hear his voice. The culprits snatched a bag containing Rs 2.5 lakh from his hand and fled on a motorcycle.

Santokh Singh immediately informed Siwan police about the incident. The Sivan police were immediately on the scene and alerted the police with a VT. Siwan police station SHO Hoshiar Singh said that senior Santokh Singh faced the miscreants with great courage. Since there were three of them, they managed to steal the bag with the money. The CIA police teams Kaithal and Guhla pursue the villains. Soon the villains are arrested.
