Rewari: Model Town Police Station has filed a case against a youth for raping an underage girl belonging to a Muslim family who lived in a village in the district until last year. The case was registered based on a null FIR submitted by Faridabad Police. The rape came to light after the girl became pregnant. The police began investigating.
The victim’s family members said that one day their 17-year-old daughter went to a hotel near Rewari’s bus station to get something to eat. Then she met Ankush who works at the hotel. It is alleged that Ankush persuaded the girl, took her to a room in the hotel and raped her. He also threatened to kill the girl if she told anyone. Because of this, the girl did not tell anything in front of her family. Later, the family began to live in Faridabad in connection with work. In April, she had a minor quarrel with the girl’s mother, after which she left home. The family lodged a complaint with the Faridabad Police Department. A few days later, the police took him back.
Since the girl is underage, the police consulted her and found out that she is pregnant. When inquired about it, it turned out that she had been raped by Ankush, causing her to become pregnant. The victim’s family then filed a complaint against him with the Faridabad Police Department. Faridabad Police did not register an FIR and sent it to Model Town Police Station. Rewari Police began investigations by opening a case against Ankush in various sections.
