Panchkula: In the 400 Crores money laundering case, the founders of the MThrim company finally got a hit from the Delhi High Court. The Supreme Court flatly refused to intervene in the Panchkula Court’s pre-trial detention order against Mthrim group founder Basant and his son Pankaj Bansal in the judge bribery case. Basant Bansal has been a Director at MThrim India Holdings Pvt Ltd since 2012 and Pankaj Bansal has been a Director at MThrim India Holdings Pvt Ltd from 2011 to 1 April 2023.

In addition, the Delhi High Court has issued harsh comments on the petition by company founder Basant Bansal and his son. The court stated that the applicants should apply to the High Court of Punjab and Haryana in Chandigarh once the relevant court in Panchkula had ordered the pre-trial detention. Once the Panchkula court has issued a pre-trial detention order, it would be unfair to issue another order. On June 15, the Panchkula court gave the law enforcement agency custody of the father and son for five days.

Based on the April 17 Haryana Anti-Corruption Bureau FIR, the ED had registered an Enforcement Case Information Report. Judge Sudhir Parmar, who has been suspended since June 13, has FIRs against his nephew Ajay Parmar, Roop Bansal, one of mThrim’s promoters and others. Investigators arrested Basant and Pankaj on June 14 and Ajay Parmar on June 15. It is worth noting here that the Basant brothers are accused of laundering 400 crores of money in the M3M money laundering case in Haryana. Both brothers were accused of raising 400 crores through cell phone companies. The investigation so far has found that the MThrim Group has acquired 400 crores from the IRO Group.

The transaction is reported in the m3m group as a development payment. In the ED case, assets worth crores of MThrim Group have been seized so far. Ten days ago, ED seized luxury cars worth Rs 60 crore and jewelery worth Rs 6 crore when it raided the premises of real estate company MThrim in Gurugram on Monday. MThrim is owned by the Bansal brothers. Haryana’s retired IAS officer also has a large stake in this group. The ED has claimed that key figures such as Basant Bansal, Roop Kumar Bansal, Pankaj Bansal and others intentionally evaded investigation during the raid. ACB and ED teams are tightening the noose on the whole affair.
