Monu Manesar arrested: Police had been searching for Bajrang Dal member Monu Manesar, accused in the Nasir-Junaid murder case, for several months. Now the police search is over. Haryana Police arrested him today. A related video is going viral on social media in which some plainclothes police officers are seen arresting Manesar. However, the police have not yet issued an official statement.
Accused in Junaid-Nasir murder case
Monu Manesar, 28, could not be detained for more than five months despite being named (along with 21 others) in connection with the kidnapping and murder of two cattle traders, Junaid and his cousin Nasir, whose bodies were burned on February 16 were found. These were they found in a burnt car in Bhiwani, Rajasthan. The Rajasthan Police filed a chargesheet in the case and named Monu Manesar as an accused.

Haryana Police is conducting further proceedings and our officers are in touch with them. Once your case is complete, our district police will begin the process.
Monu Manesar has repeatedly denied the allegations related to the Bhiwani double murder and Nuh violence. After his name came up during a procession in Nuh at the center of communal clashes, Manesar claimed he was not present there. Furthermore, he did not give controversial speeches that would have led to violent clashes between communities.
