Mahendragarh: The porches of the shopping complex will be vacated by the municipality on September 18. NAPA has issued notices to store owners twice in 10 days to address encroachments. BDPO Nisha Tanwar has been appointed as the duty judge for the encroachment eradication campaign.

We tell you that there is a lot of crowd in the city’s markets. From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., it is impossible to ride a four-wheeler, especially near the Main Bazaar, Gandhi Bazaar, Balaji Chowk, shopping complex and vegetable market, but people who walk also face great difficulty to fight. . The main reason for this is the arrival of large vehicles in the markets, but on the other hand, the administration and people also believe that some shopkeepers are encroaching on the road temporarily and permanently. Especially in the shopping complexes, 80 percent of the traders permanently invade the verandas that were built in front of the shops for the common people. Because of this, people face major problems in summer and rainy seasons. For all these reasons, the city administration has now decided to take strict action against the permanent and temporary market intruders. The municipality has built the Maharaja Agrasen shopping complex in the center of the city. This shopping complex, built in five phases, has around 600 shops and showrooms. Of these, the owners of 80 percent of the shops and showrooms have permanently and temporarily encroached on the verandas in front of the shops.

Shopkeepers advanced 10 to 15 feet

The shopkeepers of the shopping complex invaded the veranda built for pedestrians. In addition, shopkeepers illegally collect rent by setting up shops above their shops. Furthermore, by setting up a street vendor in front of his shop, he collects rent of Rs 10,000 to Rs 15,000 per month. The NAPA team had reached the shopping complex in March to clear the encroachments. At that time, the shopkeepers gathered and went to see former minister Ram Bilas Sharma. The former minister had called the municipal secretary and asked him to give him two months’ time, but the shopkeepers did not remove the encroachment even after five months.

The porches will be cleared on the 18th

Municipal corporation chairman Ramesh Saini said that the municipal corporation has notified 261 shopkeepers who encroached on the porches of the shopping complex. The notice gave shopkeepers three days’ notice to vacate the verandahs. The porches of the shopping complex will be evacuated on September 18th.
