Kurukshetra: A police officer was cheated of several hundred rupees on the pretext of sending him abroad. The police personnel have registered a case against the accused. The police are seriously investigating the matter and are searching for the accused.

In the complaint to the Superintendent of Police, Ashwani Kumar, who works in the police control room, said that his daughter Jasmine has been living in London for a year. He and his wife Dimple wanted to meet their daughter Jasmine by applying for a visitor visa. In this context, he met Puneet, a resident of Kurukshetra. Puneet Kumar, his brother Rahul, father Purushottam and three sons Rahul, KD and Sahil were present there. Puneet told him not to worry about anything, I have sent many people abroad, this is a game of my left hand. Puneet asked him for 7 lakh rupees and asked him to give him 7 documents to send to the UK. Will prepare a file paying Rs 5 lakh in advance and Rs 2 lakh on arrival of visa.

He gave Puneet 5 lakh rupees. When I asked him about the papers, he said that he would give us all the papers 24 hours before the appointment. On June 21, 2023, he received the message in the mail from the embassy that both of us, husband and wife, were denied visitor visas and banned for 10 years due to the use of forged documents. When we read the email, we were stunned that our documents were tampered with and fake documents were created by Puneet Kumar. Ashwani requested the Superintendent of Police to stop the accused Puneet Kumar from preparing forged documents with an intention to cheat and defraud the applicant of Rs 5 lakh on the pretext of sending him abroad and the applicant and his wife to send to Great Britain for 10 years. Proceedings should be initiated regarding the ban. Puneet Kumar should also be arrested and Rs 5 lakh should be recovered.
