Karnal: Rs 5.50 lakh were stolen from the account of the principal of the government school in Bijna village. An unknown person committed the fraud by pretending to be a friend over the phone. At the victim’s request, the police opened a case and initiated an investigation.

Rakesh Kumar, a resident of Sector 4, said he is the principal of Bijna Government School. His account is at the bank in Sector 13. He received a call from a person who introduced himself as a friend of Rakesh Kumar. The accused said he deposited Rs 9.5 lakh in her account. During this time, the defendant sent him a fake receipt. Thereafter, the accused called and demanded to deposit Rs 6 lakh out of this Rs 9 lakh in an account. The accused, a fraudster, withdrew Rs 5.50 lakh from his account. After the report, the police took up the case and took action. Investigating officer Vinod said that in this case, the accused would be searched. Efforts are being made to arrest the defendant as quickly as possible.

A friend’s call came from Canada, 6.26 lakh rupees were spent as soon as he heard it

A youth was cheated of Rs 6.26 lakh by pretending to be a friend. Sukhbir Singh, a resident of Raipur Rodan, said he received a call from an unknown person who said he was his friend Tejendra Pal, who was calling from Canada. His voice sounded like Tejendra Pal, which is why he considered him his friend. After some time, I received a call from the accused informing me that I have transferred Rs 16,000 to your account. Out of this, you deposit 6.26 lakh rupees into the broker’s account. Thereafter, Sukhbir transferred the money to the accused’s account. When his friend called, he said that he neither asked him for money nor called him. Afterwards he found out about the fraud. After the complaint, the police registered a case and initiated an investigation. Investigating officer Vikas said a case has been registered against the accused. The police are looking for the accused.
