Karnal: A bloody clash broke out between two groups of students studying at Baba Fateh Singh Government College in Jaisinghpura village. At the instigation of a group of students, 10 to 12 young people from outside broke into the university and attacked three students with sticks and weapons. Of the three injured teenagers, the condition of one is even more serious. He is undergoing treatment at Kalpana Chawla Medical College in Karnal. After receiving the information, the police arrived on site, registered a case at the request of the injured person and initiated an investigation.

In the complaint lodged with the police, Krishna Kumar, a resident of Jaisinghpura village, said that his son Sher Singh was a BA final student at Baba Fateh Singh Government College, Jaisinghpura. There was a dispute with some students at the same college over an issue involving his son. At around 12.30 in the afternoon, the opposing students gathered ten to twelve youths from outside the college and along with them attacked Sher Singh with sticks and sharp weapons. Seeing Sher Singh being attacked, Vishal and Rajat rushed to save him, but both of them were also attacked with sharp weapons. Attacked Rajat’s head with Gandasi. He has 10 stitches in his head. Vishal and Sher Singh also sustained serious injuries.

Questions raised about university security

Krishna said that the accused committed this incident inside the college itself. This raises questions for the university management. How did so many out-of-town boys come to college with guns and then beat their children mercilessly on college campuses? He said that the accused escaped from the college after committing the crime. When they went there, they also threatened to kill their children. The defendant is a teenager with criminal tendencies. About whom cases have already been registered.

The case was registered against 10-12 others, including 5 by name

SHO of Assandh police station Manoj Kumar said that on the complaint of victim Krishna Kumar, police registered a case against five named students and 10 to 12 other youths and started searching for the accused. The three injured students are being treated at a hospital in Karnal.
