Jind News: Two youths arrested in car with illegal guns and 10 live bullets

Jind News:Detective personnel overpowered two youths in a car at the DRDA market and confiscated a handgun and 10 live cartridges from their possession. The Civil Line Police Station has opened an investigation by registering a case against the arrested youth under the Gun Control Act.

Detective staff had received information that two youths who had illegal weapons were parked in Hooda Market with a Honda Image vehicle. Based on the information, the detectives surrounded the vehicle. When the two youths tried to run away, the police overpowered them. The driver of the vehicle has been identified as Uttam, a resident of Manoharpur village, who was found to have five live ammunition belonging to him during a search, while his accomplice has been identified as Sunil aka Sheela, a resident of Rithal Rohtak village. A handgun and five live cartridges from his possession were seized during his search, but both youths failed to produce the gun and cartridge documents when asked. Upon complaint by the Detective Staff, the Civil Line Police Station registered a gun case against the two youths and began an investigation. The accused are questioned by the police.

Ranbir Singh, the investigating officer at the Civil Line Police Station, said what was the motive behind the two youths’ possession of illegal weapons. Investigations are being made into all aspects including where he got it from.
