A joint team from the Civil Police Station and the Women’s Police Station broke up prostitution by raiding two hotels on Gohana Road. Police have opened an investigation by registering a case against 6 people under the Prostitution Prevention Act and arresting 5 people, including 2 women, on the spot.

Police had received information that prostitution was taking place at the Madhur and Milan Hotel on Gohana Road. Based on information, the joint team from the women’s police station and the plainclothes police station searched both hotels, where two women in an offensive condition were found in the rooms with two people. The police then overpowered the women and caught the hotel owners with them.

The person arrested by Milan Hotel was identified as a resident of the Defense Colony and the woman was identified as a woman from Pillukheda Police Station area, while a man from Sadar Police Station and Pillukheda area was arrested at Madhur Hotel along with a local woman was arrested the hotel owner and also took control. The arrested men and women are residents of the district itself. The civil police station has opened an investigation by registering a case under the Prostitution Prevention Act against the two women and four men who were arrested following a complaint from the relevant women’s station.

Balwan Singh, the investigating officer at the Civil Line Police Station, said raids were carried out on the hotels based on the information. Five people, including two women, were arrested there. Proceedings under the Prostitution Prevention Act were registered against six people, including the hotel owner.
