Haryana: The Election Commission has launched a unique initiative to provide attractive gifts to youth and women to get new votes. After that, those who voted between October 1st and December 9th will receive laptops, smartphones and USB sticks in the draw from the voter list published on January 5th, 2024. You can also win attractive prizes. Anyone who turns 18 in January, April, July and October will be given the opportunity by the electoral commission to receive new votes. Therefore, all eligible voters must cast their vote. In addition, names of deceased people will be removed from the voter list.

He said that those who have reached the age of 18 are eligible to vote. To vote, they must submit photocopies of permanent residence, date of birth and a passport size photograph along with Form 6. Voters can cast their votes through the online voter services portal and offline through BLO. Thus, the Commission provides both types of services to voters. If they face any problem while casting their vote, they can lodge their complaint on Voter Helpline Number 1950 and Voter Helpline App. He said that the Election Commission will conduct a special campaign from November 4 to 5 and December 2 to 3 to collect new votes at polling stations. During this time, the relevant BLO will fill out Form 6 to cast new votes at the polling station. After that, the final voter list will be published on January 5, 2024.

He said people working in corporate offices in Gurugram and Faridabad are under the impression that one has to go to government offices to get elected. For this reason, the Commission has launched a simple and straightforward process online and offline. Eligible voters were given another chance before the elections, in which – starting from January 1, 2024 as the deadline – the work of casting new votes will be carried out at all polling stations of BLOs from October 27 to December 9. The aim of this program is to ensure that no eligible voter is deprived of their right to vote. Furthermore, if a voter has died, this information should be communicated to the BLO concerned so that the name of the deceased voter can be removed from the voter list.
