Haryana: Home Minister’s concern over low strength of Haryana Police increased

Haryana: Home Minister Anil Vij is concerned about the shortage of police force in Haryana and has written a letter to the deputy chief secretary of the home ministry in this regard. In this letter, he mentioned the shortage of jawans in various police stations and police posts in the state. Furthermore, he wrote in the same order that the pending cases of police officers who have been absent from duty for six months or less should be reopened after favorable consideration.

Some time ago, the state’s Home Secretary, Anil Vij, had written a letter to TVSN Prasad, the Assistant Chief Secretary (Home Office) of the state’s Home Office, asking him to settle the cases that had been pending for years. In addition, he had written demanding an immediate review in the case of police officers who had been off duty for a period of six months or less. Vij argues that these are all trendy police personnel. Its deduction will save both time and money for the police, on the other hand, the shortage of manpower in police stations and police posts will be eliminated.

He said that except for cases of serious negligence and corruption in old pending cases, the cases of police personnel who are detained in a short time and under great duress should be treated with understanding and taken into service. In doing so, he found a way to increase the weak police force, which helped solve hundreds of pending cases in the state. At the same time, there is hope for employment and relief for police personnel who were absent from duty for a short period of time. Vij said in the letter that police officers and their families come to him every day asking for their jobs to be reinstated. He wrote the letter after considering everything.

Instructions for resolving objections

Home Minister Anil Vij told ACS Home that the pending appeals should also be resolved soon. It is noteworthy here that about four thousand cases related to police officers and Haryana Police personnel are pending with the Additional Secretary-General (Ministry of Interior). Which is a complicated matter in many ways. There are cases from Constable to ASI, SI and Inspector level. The police personnel have lost hope of help. It is also worth mentioning that around 1,500 such cases will currently lead to service outages. The rest is of a different nature. These cases pass through the SP, CP, IG and DGP offices and reach the ACS home where they spend a long time. That is, year after year passes, but their time passes only with the help of hope.
