Gurugram: In the area of Palam Vihar police station Wednesday morning, a girl was crushed by a speeding car as she tried to run away after hitting a scooter. The girl died in the accident while her brother and father were hospitalized. The father’s condition is serious. After the execution, the accused fled and left the vehicle on the spot. The police initiated action by opening a case against the motorist.
In fact, Gurmeet Singh, a resident of Delhi, is the head of the Ragi Jatha in Gurdwara in Sector 22. He brought his seven-year-old daughter Sehajpreet Kaur and 10-year-old son Arshdeep Singh to the Rotary Public School on his scooter. As he was approaching the school, his scooter was hit hard by a Celerio vehicle going the wrong way. As soon as the collision occurred, Gurmeet Singh fell onto the road with his children. After the incident, the accused motorist attempted to flee by reversing quickly, but the car struck the child Sehajpreet’s head. As a result, he died on the spot. When a crowd gathered at the scene after the incident, the suspect fled, leaving the vehicle where it was.
People said the driver who committed the incident was drunk. A car going the wrong way hit the scooty driver. Instead of taking the two children and their father, who was injured in the incident, to the hospital, when the driver started running away from the scene of the accident, the driver ran the car over the injured girl’s head. As a result, he died on the spot. The injured father and son were taken to hospital, where the father’s condition remains critical. At the same time, the accused fled after the incident, leaving the vehicle on the spot. Once the information was received, the Palam Vihar Police Station arrived on the scene and began the investigation by opening a case based on the complaint. The police handed over the body of the deceased girl to the relatives after the autopsy.
