Faridabad: Mahila District Congress President attempted suicide

Faridabad: Disturbed by the atrocities committed by Congress leaders, Mahila Congress District President Jaya Sharma attempted suicide last night. Jaya Sharma is currently being treated at the Asian Hospital. Congressional leaders have described Jaya Sharma’s act as an attempt to rack up miles.

Significantly, a dispute ensued between Parag Sharma, a member of the All India Congress Committee, and Jaya Sharma, District Women’s President. Following this incident, the Central Police Station initiated a court case against Jaya Sharma upon complaint from Parag Sharma. Mahila District Congress President Jaya Sharma claimed that All India Congress Committee member Parag Sharma pressured her to withdraw the case registered under sections of the POSCO Act and that State Congress Speaker Sumit Gaur supported her. He claimed both were harassing him by abusing their influence. From the police to the media, every effort was made to quash his words. Tired of being bothered by Parag Sharma and Sumit Gaur, he attempted suicide by taking a sleeping pill. Currently, Congress appears to be split into two factions in this episode.

What does Sumit Gaur say?

Congress spokesman Sumit Gaur says that Jaya Sharma has helped her from time to time because she is a congresswoman. It was his duty too. As a congressman, he tried to bring about a reconciliation between Jaya Sharma and Parag Sharma.
