Faridabad: Youth drowned in flood, accident occurred because he got stuck in a pit while retrieving animals

Faridabad: Four people have died from Yamuna water so far. Police recovered the youth’s body from the flood waters of Kabulpur village in Thana Tigaon area. The deceased was identified as Roop Ram. The deceased wanted to save the animals. On the way he drowned because he was stuck in a pit and died. The police are investigating the matter.

Bobby, brother of the late Roop Ram, said that due to the flooding, administration moved everyone to a safe location outside of the village. But when the water began to recede, Roop Ram was asked by his master to bring out the animals trapped in the flood water. Roop Ram followed the owner’s order and went to the Kabulpur area to evacuate the cattle. Little did he know, however, that the path he traveled was a great pit. It is said that Roop Ram could not even swim. When he got into the pit, the young man accompanying him shouted that Roop Ram was drowning, but he could not be saved. According to police, Roop Ram’s cattle were left behind in the flood waters of the Yamuna. Had gone to get the animals but drowned in a deep pit. Earlier, on July 12, a youth died from electrocution in floodwaters in the Basantpur area. Last day one person died while getting goods from the house in Thana Chaysa area while another person’s body was found underwater.
