It is alleged that under the pretense of taking jewelry, a scam was committed by manipulating a wad of dollars by phoning Bahalgarh Road. The victim reported this to the police. The police have registered a case in this regard among different sections. The police enlist the help of a cyber cell to find clues to the suspect.
Mayank, who lives in Sector 15, said that he works as a jeweler. He has a showroom called Mahavir Jewelers on Gurdwara Road in town. On February 10, two people arrived at the showroom. Who called themselves Bangladeshi. He preferred fifty thousand rupees worth of goods from the showroom instead of giving Indian currency he gave US dollars. He gave him one thousand dollars which is 82,000,000 rupees in Indian currency. After deducting a bill for fifty thousand rupees, he was given the remaining 32,000,000 rupees.
He gave five thousand rupees in advance and asked to have a ring made. Came back to the showroom on February 16th. After seeing the ring already booked in advance, they also saw other ornaments. He liked two gold bracelets and a gold chain. He wasn’t in the showroom that day, so he left without the jewelry. After some time a person came into the exhibition room. Gave $200 from staff. I asked him to deposit $100. While 8200 rupees were withdrawn from 100 dollars.
Cheating incident by increasing full trust found outside the hospital
Mayank told police he received a phone call on February 18 while he was in the showroom. The defendant told him he had $11,000. The accused said that after deducting the goods bill, he should send the remaining money and his jewelery to FIMS Hospital on Bahalgarh Road. He said that his brother is hospitalized.
Mayank sent gunman Sudhir and employee Arjun out of his showroom by handing over two bracelets, a necklace, a ring and 4 lakh 89,600 rupees in cash. Both defendants were found outside the FIMS hospital. His associate Arjun gave the defendant jewelry and cash. The defendant gave the employees $100 each. When the staff counted them, they got fewer dollars. The clerks told the defendant there was one less bill asking the clerks to return the dollars and began counting.
Thereafter, the defendant replaced the wad of dollars with another wad. The bundle handed over by the defendant had US$100-100 bills on the front and back and 108 US$1-1 bills in the middle. His staff reached the showroom with dollars. When he checked, two bills were found, back and forth 100-100 and 108 bills of $1-1. The victim said that both defendants cheated on him. One of the defendants had given his name as Vilayat Hasen. Can’t get his cell phone number either.
