About 37 herdsmen’s cattle died after becoming stuck in the swamp under the Ghaggar Bridge near the village of Saraula. The dead animals included 30 buffalo and 7 cows. As soon as the information arrived, chaos reigned among the animal parents. By the time the message was written, livestock evacuation was in progress. It is said that the shepherds were celebrating the Eid festival and could not look after their animals. When the animals were cared for by late afternoon, about 37 of these animals had died.

According to the information received, Liaquat Ali and Mir Amja Nur Mohammad Latif and Sharif of his family were residents of Maan Majra Village, Malerkotla District, Punjab. They left here while grazing their 125 cattle. Due to the Eid festival on Thursday, everyone was busy celebrating the festival. His cattle grazed near the river in the village of Sarola. Some of these animals went to the River Ghaggar to drink and bathe. Due to the abundance of aquatic mushrooms and swampy areas in the Ghagghar River, animals remained trapped in it. The animals died because they were stuck in the swamp for a long time.

Shepherds reported that about three dozen of these animals disappeared as soon as they took care of the animals after the Eid festival. As he looked into the water under the Ghaggar Bridge, he saw some animals lying there. As soon as they got there, the ground slipped under their feet because these animals had died. They tried to save every single animal but by then it was too late and about 30-35 animals had died.

The Punjab herdsmen who brought them to Haryana to save their livestock are desperate for food and cannot stop crying. Animal parents said that this accident got them nowhere. The deaths of about 15 to 20 million animals in the accident left her heartbroken. Where they already needed bread, God has now done the work of ruining them by doing this to them. The shepherds have asked the government and the district administration for financial help. Due to the Eid festival holiday, no management official took care of the animal parents until late evening.
