Prime Minister Narendra Modi has inaugurated the new Parliament building on Sunday. Today Mahila Mahapanchayat is also to be held in front of the Parliament House. This mahapanchayat was to be held at Jantar Mantar to get justice for the women wrestlers sitting on dharna for the last 35 days. In view of this, Delhi Police is on alert in view of security. Delhi Police has not given permission for Mahila Mahapanchayat. Along with this, the borders of Delhi have also been sealed. Heavy police force has been deployed at ITO Road, Tikri Border and Singhu Border. Apart from this, protesters coming from Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh have also been stopped.

Late night arrest of farmers

According to media reports, farmer leader Gurnam Singh Charuni has been arrested this morning to prevent him from marching to Delhi. Many farmer leaders are alleging that the BJP government is doing dictatorship. The members of the Punjab Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee have been stopped at the Ambala border itself. Farmer leaders allege that the person who should be arrested is roaming freely. BKU Shaheed Bhagat Singh’s district head Ambala Gurmeet Singh was put under house arrest in the village itself. Not only this, women coming from Uttar Pradesh (UP) to join Mahila Mahapanchayat have also been taken into custody late night and some farmer leaders have also been put under house arrest.

The wrestlers also appealed to the people to participate in large numbers in the Mahila Mahapanchayat to be held outside the new Parliament House. Rakesh Tikait reacted

Khap leaders have been enraged by the strictness of the police regarding the mahapanchayat. Farmer leader Rakesh Tikait said in the matter of putting the farmers under house arrest that the Uttar Pradesh Police (UP Police) should not go to the houses of the workers to stop them, we will definitely do this panchayat. If we are stopped by the police, we will be forced to take tough decisions.

Tight security by Delhi Police

On the protest of Wrestlers Protest, Special CP of Delhi Police Dipendra Pathak said that we will not allow any kind of hindrance in the inauguration of the new Parliament House. For this program to continue smoothly, Delhi Police teams have kept a close watch.

At the same time, DCP East Delhi Amrita Gugulot said that Delhi Police is fully prepared to deal with such situations. We also have a sizeable police force for deployment.
