Charge sheet was filed against Sanjay Singh

Earlier this month, the ED had filed a charge sheet against the AAP MP in the liquor scam case. This was a supplementary charge sheet in this case, as the agency had filed similar complaints earlier also. The prosecution complaint was filed before a local court under various sections of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) in a money laundering case related to the Delhi Excise Policy case.

The arrest took place on October 4.

The investigating agency had alleged that accused businessman Dinesh Arora had given Rs 2 crore in cash in two installments at the Rajya Sabha MP’s residence, although Singh had denied these allegations. Let us tell you that Sanjay Singh was arrested by ED on October 4 in connection with the money laundering investigation related to the 2021-22 Delhi Excise Policy case. ED has alleged that Sanjay Singh played a role in the alleged liquor scam case. However, Aam Aadmi Party and its leaders reject this. Let us tell you that after former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, Sanjay Singh is the second high-profile leader of AAP who has been arrested in this case.
