New Delhi: The people of Delhi are facing the scorching heat of May-June in the month of April itself. On Saturday, many parts of Delhi recorded this season’s highest temperature of 42 degrees Celsius, while All Over Delhi recorded 40.5 degrees Celsius, four notches above normal, which is the season’s highest. Due to the clear weather since morning, the sun’s rays had to face more heat due to reaching the ground directly without any hindrance. At the same time, the minimum temperature was also recorded 1 degree above normal at 20 degree Celsius.

According to the India Meteorological Center Delhi, the maximum temperature in Delhi on Saturday was recorded at 40.5 degrees Celsius, four notches above normal, the highest this season. According to the IMD, the sports complex recorded 42.9 degrees Celsius, while Najafgarh came second at 42.6 degrees Celsius.

Apart from this, Pitampura recorded 42.1 degrees, Pusa 41.9 degrees, Ridge Area 41.5 degrees, Jafarpur 41.4 degrees, Mugeshpur 41.4 degrees, Palam 40.5 degrees, Lodhi Road 40.1 degrees, Aya Nagar 40.4 degrees, while Mayur Vihar recorded the lowest SPS of 39.1 degrees Celsius. The temperature was recorded. The IMD has predicted that a slight drop in temperature may start from Sunday. After which there is a possibility of light drizzle on 18-20 April and rain on 19-21 April. Due to rain and drizzle, a fall in mercury will also be recorded, due to which people will get relief.

Apart from the heat, on the other hand, the graph of air pollution in the capital has also started increasing continuously. On Saturday, the air pollution index AQI 232 in Delhi was recorded in the poor category, while in many places this figure was recorded beyond the red zone i.e. 300 AQI.
