Delhi: The Crime Branch team of Delhi Police has arrested Vinod alias Vicky alias Sanyasi, the shooter of Kapil Sangwan alias Nandu gang. Police have recovered two pistols and eight cartridges from it. The accused has been involved in 13 cases of murder, attempt to murder, extortion. He is also a history sheeter of Palam village police station.
According to Special CP Ravindra Yadav, this criminal, resident of Chander Vihar, Sector 7, Dwarka, has been sentenced to life imprisonment in the murder case of Palam village police station. In July this year, he was released on parole granted by the Delhi High Court.
After coming out on parole, he committed three incidents of attempt to murder in Palam and Najafgarh police station areas. He was regularly changing his locations to avoid arrest. Recently ASI Randhawa and Head Constable Amit had received information about this. After bringing the information to the notice of senior officers, a raid was conducted in Krishna Colony, Gurugram, Haryana and the accused was arrested.

During interrogation, it told that after joining Kapil Sangwan alias Nandu gang in 2009, he had started occupying unregistered plots in the area of Palam village by preparing false and fabricated documents. Meanwhile, they encountered another gang named Balwan Solanki. To increase his influence in the area, he killed the powerful Solanki.
In this case he was serving life imprisonment along with his associates. Due to this rivalry, Balwan Solanki’s associates Rohit Vitthal, Rohit Lamba and others had shot Rohit’s cousin Sunil in 2015.
According to the police, Rohit was granted parole on July 20 and was to surrender on August 16, but he did not surrender before the jail authority and absconded.
