New Delhi: Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) Chairperson Swati Maliwal on Monday issued notices to the Director of the Directorate of Education and the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Outer-North district, in connection with the sexual harassment of two minor boys in a government school. DCW has issued a notice to the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Outer-North District, seeking details of the action taken against the principal and teachers of the school along with the status of the arrests made in the case.

At the same time, asked whether an FIR has been registered against him under the POSCO Act for allegedly not reporting the matter to the authorities. At the same time, the DCW has sought a copy of the orders passed by the concerned Child Welfare Committee in the above cases. Apart from this, the DCW has issued a notice to the director of the education directorate asking him to provide the investigation report in the matter.

It has also asked whether the principal and teachers of the school have been suspended for not reporting the incidents to the authorities. The commission has sought details of the guidelines framed by the department for counseling and reporting cases of sexual harassment of students in schools. The DCW has asked the Director of Education and Deputy Commissioner of Delhi Police to give all the details by September 1. In the above cases, two separate FIRs have been registered at Shahbad Dairy Police Station.

A 13-year-old boy studying in class 8 in a government school in Rohini was allegedly sexually assaulted by other students of the school. He has told that in April 2023 he went to school during summer camp, where some students forcibly took him to a nearby park and sexually assaulted him for 7 consecutive days. At the same time, another 12-year-old boy has also alleged that the same students sexually assaulted him during the summer camp in April 2023 and then 16 days ago a student tried to sexually assault him again in the toilet. of.
