In this regard, on Tuesday, Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena has approved the creation of 10 more family courts in Delhi. After the approval of the Lieutenant Governor, there will now be a total of 31 family courts in the capital. In 2019, a proposal was made to increase the family court in this regard. Which has now been approved after four years.

Number of family courts will increase to 31

In fact, in 2019, the Delhi government had sent a proposal to the Lieutenant Governor to create 10 new family courts in the capital. Now the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi has approved this proposal. After getting the approval of LG, the number of family courts in the capital Delhi has now increased from 21 to 31.

More than 46 cases pending

Let us tell you that in view of the cases pending for more than several years, approval has been given to create 10 more new family courts in the capital Delhi. There are around 46,000 cases pending in the family courts in Delhi. At the same time, the least number of 1321 is pending with the Chief Justice, Family Court, Saket. Apart from this, after the approval of LG, the creation of 10 judges and 71 other posts for the head of the court will be affected.
