Delhi: Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena has taken a big decision. He has given permission to prosecute 10 policemen in the case of misuse of public treasury. Information in this regard has been given by the LG office. The Lieutenant Governor has ordered to register a case against 10 policemen today on Sunday. All these policemen are accused of embezzlement of a total amount of Rs 2.44 crore.

In this regard, the Economic Offenses Wing (EOW) of Delhi Police had registered an FIR against two women sub-inspectors, three head constables and five constables. All these policemen were posted in outside districts. A case was registered against them on October 1, 2019 under sections of cheating and criminal conspiracy.

The Home Ministry had sent a recommendation to the LG to prosecute all these policemen. In its recommendation in the Home Ministry, it was said that Krishna, Vijendra Singh, Anil Kumar and Meena Kumari have confessed that they have committed the crime of embezzlement from the government treasury. At the same time, Delhi Police has already suspended Krishna, Vijendra Singh, Anil Kumar and Meena Kumari. Apart from this, Delhi Police has filed a charge sheet against four policemen. At the same time, now the Lieutenant Governor has given approval to prosecute all the officers of Delhi Police.

Among them, two women sub-inspectors are Meena Kumari and Harendra. Apart from this, there are head constables Vijendra Singh, Viju PK, Anand Kumar and constables Krishna Kumar, Anil Kumar, Ravindra, Sanjay Dahiya and Rohit. All of them are accused of using government funds for their personal purposes.
