Delhi: Irregularities in the parking complexes run under Delhi Municipal Corporation are not stopping. In this regard, RP Cell Deputy Commissioner Amit Kumar said on Tuesday that from time to time the MCD administration takes action on the basis of complaints received from parking complexes. On the basis of complaints received from citizens, drivers etc., the parking complex has been closed and fine is also imposed on the parking operator. RP Cell official said that a complaint regarding parking fee being collected through slip has been received from Wazirpur area on Tuesday and it is being investigated, after which action will be taken as per the Corporation Act.

At many places, action has been taken after news of illegal parking was published in the media. Due to which the corporation has lost revenue worth lakhs of rupees every month. Leader of Opposition Raja Iqbal Singh has advised Mayor Dr Shaili Oberoi to keep a special eye on the revenue generating departments, so that the corporation’s revenue does not suffer loss and the schemes also remain transparent for the public.
