Delhi: Marshal was not in the bus, the conductor opened the door, three phone thieves escaped

News2News.in News, New Delhi. Had there been a bus marshal in the Delhi government’s DTC bus DL 1 PC 7968, then perhaps the three thieves who looked like strong and smart men would not have escaped and the two victimized youths would have got justice. Along with this, phone theft or many other related cases would have been solved if such thieves were caught with evidence, which became a headache for the Delhi Police, but this could not happen in this case at all. Because, the bus conductor did not have time to wait for the police and in the CCTV camera-less bus, the conductor got the bus door opened even after the incident of theft was caught, after which the thieves got off the bus and ran away easily.

The incident took place near Wazirpur on Monday and the victim youth also called the police. In such a situation, the question arises on the conductor that if all three were not thieves, then why would they get off the bus. On the other hand, when information was sought from the DTC administration in this regard, the DTC administration remained silent for about 24 hours. There was no response even after repeated contacts. Looking at the seriousness of the matter, the police should inquire the conductor himself and investigate and take action as per rules.

Let us tell you that the incident took place on April 3, 2023, around 5.20 pm. Five passengers boarded the green colored DTC bus number DL 1 PC 7968 from Azadpur towards Punjabi Bagh near Wazirpur Bus Depot. As soon as they boarded the bus, a loud argument started about the theft. Two boys were saying that my smart phone was stolen. During this, his suspicion was on three people, out of which two people were sitting in the front part of the bus and these two people were also searched and nothing was found, while one of them went and sat in the back side. When there was doubt on them, the aggrieved youths called their number, which got information about the switch off. Then called the Delhi Police. Seeing this, threw the phone behind the seats at the back. When the conductor told the victim youths to check the phone behind also, then the phone was found. As soon as the phone was received, there was talk of checking the cameras, the three thieves started arguing with the victims. Seeing this, the conductor said that we are in a hurry, we cannot wait for the police and opened the door of the bus and let them off, while the first three thieves were sitting separately, so that there could be no doubt that they belonged to the same team.

Connivance or negligence of the bus conductor

The victim boys again called the police after the thieves got down and told that the thieves got off the bus and they also got down at Britannian Chowk bus stand. Now call it the connivance of the conductor or the negligence that even after receiving the theft, the thieves got off. Please tell that bus number DL 1 PC 7968 was not marshaled during the incident.

Passenger could not tell the incident of theft due to fear

A passenger sitting at the back of the bus said after getting off the bus that he had seen one of the three men stealing the phone, but they were burly and mischievous. Due to this fear, he could not speak anything in the bus.
