Delhi Govindpuri Murder: A 35-year-old youth was stabbed to death with an ice-breaker on Thursday morning in Delhi’s Govindpuri area. The name of the deceased has been told as Virendra alias Veeru. The body has been sent to AIIMS for postmortem. Police have arrested the accused Sonu alias Anil after registering a case of murder in the case. The age of the accused is 33 years. Police investigation revealed that the accused suspected illicit relations between his wife and the deceased.

According to the information, this incident was carried out near RD Marg, Govindpuri Fish Market at around 6 am on Thursday. The injured youth was taken to Majidia Hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead. The family of the deceased said that Veeru was the only earning member in his family. He has three children and wife. Veeru was a driver in a private school. He had left for duty in the morning, but he had an argument with Sonu in front of the fish market in Govindpuri area, after which Veeru was attacked with an ice pick. Veeru fell down bleeding and the accused fled from the spot.
The people present on the spot took the injured youth to the hospital, where the doctors declared him brought dead. The family alleges that two-three months ago, Veeru had an altercation with Sonu, a resident of the area. Police investigation revealed that the wife of the accused Sonu is an MTS staff in the same school in which Veeru was working. Sonu suspected illegal relations between the two. Police also say that the weapon used in the crime is yet to be recovered. Police has arrested the accused and started further action.
