Delhi Crime: A case of kidnapping and brutality against a nine year old girl has come to light in Delhi’s Swaroop Nagar area. According to the police, after raping the accused, he murdered the girl and threw the body in the canal. The accused has also confessed to his crime. The accused has confessed that he murdered the girl and threw her body in the Munak canal. According to the police, the girl from Swaroop Nagar had gone missing from outside the house on December 12. After this, the victim’s parents informed the police about the girl’s disappearance. The girl’s parents work as laborers in a factory. He told the police that his daughter went missing when she was playing outside the house. The girl studied in class 4 in MCD school.
The accused confessed his crime
After receiving information about the girl’s disappearance, the police registered a case of kidnapping. After this, the police investigated the CCTV footage installed nearby and found out that the landlord had taken the girl away in his car. After this, when the police interrogated the owner as a suspected accused, the landlord first tried to mislead the police. After this he got injured in an accident on 15 December. After which he was admitted to a hospital in Rohini. The police team was sent to the hospital, but he was unfit for statement. After this, on December 17, the accused became fit for statement. When interrogated by the police, the accused confessed to kidnapping and murdering the girl. The accused also talked about throwing the girl’s body in the canal.
Police registered a case against the accused
After the accused confessed to the crime, the police started searching for the girl’s body. Police is working to search the dead body in the canal with the help of divers. In the case, the police officer said that the accused will be brought to search the body of the victim on Tuesday. Accused Sanjeev Rana, resident of Nangli Pune, has been arrested under sections 364, 302, 201 IPC and 6 POCSO Act on charges of kidnapping, rape and murder of a minor girl.
