Former Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia has approached the Delhi High Court for bail. Sisodia had given a petition in the Delhi High Court yesterday i.e. on Wednesday. After this, hearing on Sisodia’s petition was held in the court today on Thursday. Court has sought response from CBI on Sisodia’s bail. The next hearing in the matter will be on April 20.

Sisodia’s custody till April 17 in money laundering case

According to media reports, yesterday i.e. on Wednesday, Manish Sisodia was presented in Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court in the money laundering case. Where the court has extended the judicial custody of Sisodia till 17 April. In such a situation, now Sisodia will have to remain in jail till 17th April. During the hearing in the court, the ED argued that the investigation in the case has reached its final stage. In this situation, if Sisodia is released, the investigation can be greatly affected. Therefore, Sisodia should not be released till the investigation is completed. Because of this, the court extended Sisodia’s judicial custody till April 17.

Sisodia’s custody till April 17 in liquor scam case

Manish Sisodia was produced in Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court on April 3 in the liquor scam case. Here too, the court had extended Sisodia’s judicial custody till April 17. The CBI had also given the same argument in the court as the ED. The CBI had said that the investigation in the liquor scam case has reached its final stage. In such a situation, if Sisodia is granted bail, then there may be a hindrance in the investigation. CBI said that the main accused in this case is Manish Sisodia. Therefore, till the completion of the investigation, Sisodia should not get bail.

Sisodia knocked on the door of the High Court

Significantly, Manish Sisodia was arrested on February 26 in the liquor scam case. In this episode, yesterday i.e. on April 5, Sisodia had moved the High Court for bail. The court has sought response from the CBI in the matter. The next hearing in the matter will be on April 20.
