News2News.in News, New Delhi: Delhi Health Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj along with officials conducted a surprise inspection of Delhi Government’s Lok Nayak Jaiprakash Hospital on Tuesday due to the increasing cases of dengue in Delhi. Meanwhile, Health Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj reprimanded the existing staff for finding a dengue patient lying without a mosquito net and with immediate effect ordered to make arrangements for his treatment by putting mosquito nets all around the patient on a separate bed. He said that if dengue patients and other patients are kept together, there is a possibility of dengue spreading. Keeping all these things in mind, instructions have been given to make separate arrangements for dengue patients.

Bhardwaj inquired about the current situation from the doctors present in the Emergency Department of the hospital. Along with this, talked about the arrangement of the hospital with the patients present on the spot. Checked the register maintained in the hospital to know what type of patients are coming to the hospital daily, what is the condition of dengue patients. Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj himself went and talked to the fever patients present in the register, took stock of their health. Bhardwaj marked the names of about 10 fever patients from the register, went and interacted with them and took stock of their health. Out of these 10 fever patients, only one patient was a dengue patient, rest all had normal fever.

Due to dengue, the preparations of the government intensified

Health Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj told that because this year it rained in Delhi much ahead of time, normally it rains in the month of June-July, whereas this time it has rained continuously for all the four months of April-May, June-July. Due to this, there is a danger of increasing dengue cases in Delhi. In view of all these circumstances, we are continuously inspecting the arrangements of all the hospitals. Whether all the arrangements for the patients in the hospitals are proper or not, what preparations are being made in the hospitals to deal with dengue, all these arrangements are being reviewed. Bhardwaj told that the government is working on a war footing to tackle dengue, so that any kind of disaster can be avoided.

Instructions given to improve the food distribution method

During the surprise inspection, Minister Saurabh expressed displeasure over the method of distribution of food. In fact, the food delivery staff was holding the food items to all the patients and their relatives, for which Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj was very angry, he issued instructions to the hospital administration that the food should be kept in plates to the patients. In this way, there is a possibility of spreading diseases more by distributing food.

No negligence will be tolerated in health facilities

Instructing the hospital administration, Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj said that any kind of playing or carelessness with the health of the people of Delhi will not be tolerated at all.
