This incident is said to have happened yesterday on 8th October.

DCP’s statement on the matter

Confirming this incident, DCP South Chandan Chaudhary said that the police came to know about this incident at 3 pm. This incident happened around 3:00 pm. A Hungarian diplomat woman was returning to the embassy from Humayun’s Tomb in an auto. As soon as the auto reached near Dayal Singh College. At the same time, two miscreants riding a bike approached the auto from behind and snatched the woman’s bag and fled away. Everything happened so fast that the woman could not even see the number of the bike. Within a few seconds the robbers riding the bike disappeared from sight.

FIR registered on victim’s complaint

According to media reports, Rs 12,000 cash, bank card and mobile were kept inside the bag. As soon as the information was received, Delhi Police swung into action and reached the incident site. Police have registered an FIR in the case under sections 356, 379, 34 IPC on the complaint of the victim. The police team has started investigating the case. Police are investigating the CCTV cameras installed around the incident. So that the accused can be identified.
