Delhi: AICC Secretary and former Leader of the House (South Delhi Municipal Corporation) in Delhi Municipal Corporation Abhishek Dutt met the Municipal Commissioner on Thursday and advocated the constitutional right to confirm the contractual employees. Regarding this, Abhishek said that I have met the Commissioner and submitted a memorandum in which, citing the constitutional process, it has been demanded that all the raw employees appointed in the Engineering Department from April 11, 2006 to March 31, 2009 should be regularized.
He told that in the memorandum submitted to the Municipal Commissioner, it has been told that through the proposal presented by me in the Corporation House in the year 2018, the designation of sanitation workers was changed to sanitation soldiers. Along with this, through the second proposal, all the raw employees appointed till the year 2006 in engineering and engineering departments were confirmed.
According to Abhishek, in the series of this, under the face manner policy prevalent in Delhi Municipal Corporation, all the raw employees appointed from April 11, 2006 to March 31, 2009, the Engineering Department, at that time South Delhi Municipal Corporation, started the process of immediately confirming Were. In such a situation, this work was stopped after the dissolution of the corporation in February 2022.
Abhishek said that these employees of the Engineering Department have been working for the last 17 years and all these employees have dedicated precious time of their lives to the service of Delhi Municipal Corporation selflessly and with full devotion. This job is now their only source of livelihood. In such a situation, if the corporation regularizes these employees, their lives will improve.

Quoting Dutt, he said that 4500 employees of New Delhi Municipality have been confirmed by the Home Ministry in 2023. He said that therefore, on similar lines, I have again requested the Commissioner to immediately confirm all the raw employees appointed in the Engineering Department of the Corporation from April 11, 2006 to March 31, 2009.
