Delhi Air Pollution: No relief from air pollution, AQI registered in very poor category, temperature increased by five degrees

Delhi Air Pollution: The weather is showing many colors in Delhi, yet there seems to be no relief from air pollution. At the same time, the harsh cold is not visible far and wide, rather the heat is being felt as the mercury is five degrees higher than normal. For several days, the Air Pollution Index (AQI) in the capital has been registering in the very poor category.

According to the app Safar of the Union Ministry of Earth Sciences, Government of India, after 5 pm on Monday, Delhi’s AQI was recorded at 304 in the very poor category, while in the area wise Pusa was 438, Lodhi Road 280, Delhi University 317, Airport (T-3 ) 314, Mathura Road 273, Aya Nagar 256, IIT Delhi 307 and Dhirpur 315 AQI was recorded.

Let us tell you that AQI 0-50 is good, 50-100 satisfactory, 101-200 moderate, 201- 300 poor, 301-400 very poor, 401-500 severe and above 501 AQI is considered in very severe category. The average was recorded at 245.

On the other hand, the weather has turned hot the very next day. The temperature rose by 3-4 degrees on Monday compared to Sunday. While the minimum temperature in Delhi had fallen to 10 degrees Celsius on Sunday, it rose to 14.5 degrees on Monday, which is five degrees more than normal. Apart from this, the maximum temperature was recorded at 24.7 degrees, one degree less than normal, which was recorded at 26.2 degrees Celsius on Sunday.
