Delhi Air Pollution: Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena (LG VK Saxena), while inspecting several places in the capital on Thursday, cursed the Arvind Kejriwal government of Delhi and the Bhagwant Mann government of Punjab regarding the serious air pollution in Delhi. Sources associated with the LG said that the LG fiercely targeted the Delhi and Punjab governments and said that Delhi cannot do anything special to stop the smoke coming from stubble burning in other states, except propaganda.
While giving advice to the Kejriwal government of Delhi, LG said that Delhi cannot do anything special to stop the incidents of stubble burning in other states, but it should not cover up its major inaction over the years by blaming others.
Taking aim at the Punjab government, the LG said that it may shirk its responsibility, but it cannot shirk its responsibility. He told the Punjab government that Punjab is shirking its responsibility, but we can only appeal to you to have mercy on the lives of the people of Delhi. There is nothing special we can do except requesting the states where stubble burning is done to stop burning stubble.
During the visit, LG said about the dilapidated roads and ruins that this is the condition of the roads and footpaths of the national capital. The government can at least improve these roads and footpaths and reduce the dust particles rising from construction sites. This problem can be reduced by curbing polluting vehicles. On the increase in pollution due to fireworks by the AAP government, the LG agreed that undoubtedly the problem has increased due to bursting of firecrackers.
He said that in Delhi, which has become a gas chamber, the most affected are those people who pass through the streets daily for their livelihood. The lungs of poor and helpless people living in slums and unauthorized colonies are being badly affected, because their biggest problem is livelihood, they cannot sit in their homes. Such people cannot even buy expensive equipment like air purifiers.

He said that the publicity being carried out regarding measures like Smog Tower has no special significance and the publicity politics being carried out on much publicized activities like ‘Red Light On’, ‘Gadi Off’ and ‘Odd-Even’ is putting the lives of the people of Delhi at risk. Cannot be put at risk. He alleged that no concrete efforts were made after the use of CNG in vehicles was started in Delhi and construction of flyovers.
