Delhi Air Pollution: It is once again becoming difficult to breathe in Delhi, because the amount of poison in the air of the capital has started increasing. According to the app Safar of the Union Ministry of Earth Sciences, Government of India, the air quality index (AQI) level of PM 2.5 in Delhi at 5 pm on Wednesday was recorded at 373 very poor, which falls in the very poor category.

The Environment Department estimates that the air in the capital may soon reach the critical category. According to environmental experts, the people of Delhi are not going to get relief from air pollution. Of course, the wind speed has increased somewhat since Tuesday, yet there is no relief from pollution anytime soon.

Apart from this, private weather forecasting company Skymet Weather says that on November 21, the air quality index of most parts of Delhi was in the very poor category. At the same time, on the morning of 22 November, it again fell into the severe category in many parts. Among these, Jahangirpuri recorded the highest of 428, IIT Delhi 406, Major Dhyanchand Stadium 404 and Dwarka Sector 8 403.

The company says that light winds are blowing from the west and south-west direction, but they are not yet able to disperse the pollutants. Two key weather factors like moderate to strong winds from a particular direction and widespread rainfall can eliminate the pollution, but unfortunately both the weather parameters will not materialize for at least the next one week.

The air quality index of Delhi and NCR will remain in the very poor category. At the same time, the wind speed may increase from 27th or 28th November. Due to which there may be a possibility of pollutants being dispersed. The company says that some relief may be available around the end of November.
