Rani Suryamukhi Devi Memorial All India T-20 Flood Light Cricket Tournament was inaugurated on Monday after renovation at Digvijay Stadium, in the chief hospitality of Dongargaon MLA and Chhattisgarh State Rural and Other Backward Classes Area Development Authority, Chhattisgarh President Daleshwar Sahu. It was presided over by Mayor Hema Deshmukh. Chhattisgarh state entrepreneur Dhanesh Patila, Chhattisgarh State Minorities Commission vice-chairman Hafeez Khan, Chhattisgarh Khadi and Village Industries Board member Srikishan Khandelwal, Chhattisgarh Tourism Board member Nikhil Dwivedi, Chhattisgarh State Child Protection Commission members Sangeeta Gajbhiye and Kulbir Chhabra attended as special guests. Apart from this, SDM Arun Kumar Verma, Senior Journalist Jitendra Mishra, Press Club President Sachin Agrahari, Qutbuddin Solanki, Ramesh Daklia, Kamaljit Singh Pintu, Vijay Shah, Yogesh Bagdi, GS Murthy, Ranvijay Pratap Singh, Yogesh Shah, Manish Gautam, Santanu Ghos, Vibhash Sinha, Tarunesh Parihar, Ganesh Prasad Sharma, Ajay Pandey, Dhanshyam Lal, Bharat Kathlani, Sudesh Shende, Santosh Jain, Jeevan Gautam, Dinesh Jain, Amar Jha, Sonu Jassal were included.
Inaugurating the competition, Chief Guest MLA Sahu said that there are many challenges regarding any event, but with everyone’s participation, this event will also be successful in a dignified environment. Small things have to be taken care of in the event, but this culture has given a different identity to the games, so there will not be any difficulty in the event.
Presiding over the programme, Mayor Hema Deshmukh said that this competition has started again after six years due to everyone’s efforts, which is a matter of pride. Rajnandgaon is famous for sports. Hockey is the main sport here. Apart from this, cricket is also known and played all over the country at present. By having strong will power, even the biggest tasks get success.
Addressing the ceremony, Dhanesh Patila said that Rajnandgaon has always been a pioneer in the field of hockey. Apart from this, other sports also get importance here. In cricket also, an international level player should emerge from Rajnandgaon. Before this, the guests paid floral tributes to the oil painting of Rani Suryamukhi Devi. After that the guests were welcomed by the members of the organizing committee. District Cricket Association secretary Yogesh Bagdi and operation Sharad Srivastava did the gratitude for the program.

In the inaugural match of the 18th Rani Suryamukhi Devi Memorial All India T-20 Flood Light Cricket Tournament organized under the aegis of Stadium Committee, District Cricket Association, Rajgami Sampada Nyas, P-4 Committee at Digvijay Stadium, Odisha Cricket Association defeated the host District Cricket Association by 103 Started their victory campaign giving a crushing defeat by runs. Batting first, Odisha scored 193 for 7 in 20 overs thanks to Gaurav’s 39-ball 58, Rakesh Patnaik’s 25-ball 42 and Sandeep Patnaik’s 32. Chasing the target, the DCA Rajnandgaon batsmen were bundled out for 90 runs in just 14.4 overs. From Odisha, Sushil took 3 wickets, Harshit Routhar and Suryakant Pradhan took 2-2 wickets.
Chhattisgarh State beat Nagpur by 25 runs
In the second match of the tournament, Chhattisgarh State Cricket Association defeated VTCA Nagpur by 25 runs. Batting first, Chhattisgarh had scored 178 runs losing 5 wickets in 20 overs. In which batsman Sanjit Desai contributed 77 runs in 50 balls with the help of 2 sixes and 7 fours. Nagpur’s Praveen Rokade took 2 wickets. Nagpur’s team came out to chase Chhattisgarh’s target of 178 runs and Alok Sahu was also taking his team towards a respectable score by scoring 47 runs and Saurabh 40 runs, but after their dismissal, due to slow batting of middle order batsmen. Due to this Nagpur team could not distinguish the target of Chhattisgarh and could score only 153 runs losing 6 wickets in 20 overs. For Chhattisgarh, Shubham Singh took 3 wickets and Saurabh Majumdar took 1 wicket to give his team a 25-run victory.
Man of the match award in the match by District Cricket Association member Anshul Bagga himself. In the memory of Mahender Singh Bagga, in the first match Gaurav of Odisha and in the second match Sanjit Desai of Chhattisgarh State were awarded with a cash amount of Rs.3100-3100.
