By then a large part of the public toilet had been gutted. After this the firefighters started extinguishing the fire. The fire was brought under control on Wednesday morning after 2-3 hours of effort.

People told that around 4 in the morning they saw the fire. The fire was so fierce that its flames were visible from far away. Station Master AK Gupta told that a pile of clothes near the public toilet was set on fire. After which the fire spread completely and engulfed the public toilet as well. He said that it is suspected that anti-social elements might have started the fire.

Auto and railway stand is attached to the place of occurrence

The investigation of the incident has been handed over to RPF and City Kotwali police. The police is investigating the case. Auto and railway stand is also operated around the public toilet.
