Raipur: Along with making people aware against drugs, the police has also started taking strict action against liquor smugglers under its Hello Zindagi campaign. After starting the campaign under the leadership of IG Ajay Yadav, on Tuesday itself, the police station raided different areas of the city and caught liquor sellers. The police have arrested those doing business by keeping liquor stock in their homes, but this time strictness has also been imposed on those who take stock directly from the liquor shop.

While taking action on suspected hideouts in Raipur police station area, police have arrested people involved in illegal business of liquor. This action started when senior officers started vigilance of the campaign. Along with this, the police of Changorabhata police station has caught 50 pavva with country liquor. The accused had kept the stock hidden in his house. Arang police arrested two people in suspicious condition near village Lakhauli. In the interrogation of the police, the smugglers have told their names as Jumman Ratre and Vishwajit Joshi. Both the criminals are residents of Raipur. They had a gunny bag from which 60 pavva country liquor was recovered. With this, further action has been completed by confiscating the bike. The price of liquor including bike has been told as Rs 47 thousand.

Under the Hello Zindagi Campaign, this time the police raided Telibandha Dewar Dera and took action. From here, 35 pavva country liquor has been recovered from a youth named Avinash Chauhan. The accused English Pawwa was engaged in doing illegal business by purchasing liquor from nearby Liquor Stores. Police has taken action against the accused under the Narcotics Act.
