Raipur News: The Saraswati scheme to provide cycles to girl students belonging to scheduled castes and tribes as well as BPL families in government schools seems to be dying in the rain. The education department did not distribute cycles to girl students in time. And now the bicycle making material is turning into junk in the distribution center in the rain. The latest example of this has been seen in Mowa School, where goods are scattered in the open during the rainy season. The school management says that they have already booked two rooms for this scheme, now they also do not have space. Due to the goods lying in the open, now rusting has started.

According to media reports, the education department in Raipur district has made Mova School along with Bhatagaon a center for the Saraswati Cycle Scheme. Here, after the cycles are ready, a system of distribution has been made according to the demand, but in recent times, due to non-distribution, the cycles have been jammed. Ready made cycles are kept in the open in the school premises itself. The cycle has started rusting due to rains and water logging in the school premises. Free cycles were to be distributed to girl students

As per the instructions of the state government, there is a plan to distribute cycles free of cost to boys and girls in all the districts. Under this, centers have been set up in Mowa, Bhathagaon in Raipur district. According to the information, there is a target to distribute 13000 cycles on receipt of applications. Under the scheme, girl students belonging to SC and ST families as well as BPL families can take advantage of this scheme.
