Hemant Verma- Dharsiwa. Rape cases are continuously increasing in the country. In Dharsiwa on Friday, a five year old innocent girl became the victim of cruelty by a 15 year old minor. The limit was crossed when the victim’s family took her to the police station. The police registered a report against the accused but instead of taking the victim to the hospital, they kept waiting for the government ambulance till 8 pm. The girl, covered in pain and blood, kept moaning in the police station.
The helpless family kept tolerating her moans but it seemed as if there was no effect on Khaki. From noon to evening and from evening to night but the government ambulance did not arrive. The girl’s condition became so bad that it was necessary to admit her to the hospital. When the ambulance did not arrive till night, the patience of the family members and villagers broke. When he started protesting, the police took him to Raipur late in the night in their car. At present the police has arrested the minor accused.
There was a scuffle between police and State Mahila Morcha workers
At the same time, on Friday, on the call of State Mahila Morcha, the leadership of BJP Mandal and Mahila Morcha surrounded the police station at 1 pm. They also started demanding removal of police station in-charge Shivendra Rajput, compensation of Rs 50 lakh to the rape victim and hanging of the accused. There was a fierce scuffle with the police and Mahila Morcha workers regarding this.
Crores of rupees are paid to ambulance every year
Crores of rupees are paid every year to the agency to which the government has given the contract to run government ambulances. But the facilities are nominal. Especially in rural areas, ambulances are not reaching on time. In most of the cases like road accidents, murder, assault etc, the injured are being taken to the hospital only by police dial 112 vehicles.
This is how the minor committed the incident
The girl was known to the minor accused. He took the girl with him to a deserted area. There he raped the girl and fled from the spot. When the family members got information about the incident, they took the girl to the police station. At present the accused has been caught and the victim has been admitted to the hospital.
