Sandeep Karihar/Bilaspur- Leader of Opposition Palash Chandel’s son has got a big relief from the High Court (Bilaspur High Court). The High Court has completely rejected many allegations including ST Act. After studying the report, the court said that he did not commit any crime. This decision has been given by the single bench of Justice Rakesh Mohan Pandey. The hearing was completed on August 23. The decision was reserved at that time.

Actually, a case of rape of a tribal woman (Adiwasi Mahila) was registered against Palash Chandel. The victim woman had lodged a complaint against Palash Chandel in Raipur women’s police station for rape and abortion. After registering the crime in Raipur, this case was transferred to Janjgir-Champa. The section of atrocity was also added because the woman was a tribal. Meanwhile, as soon as the case was registered, the accused Palash had absconded. After this he filed an anticipatory bail petition in Bilaspur High Court.

The rape victim had clearly said that the government will fire me from the job. In 2018, he became friends with Palash Chandel through Facebook. The victim alleged that Palash physically exploited her for a long time on the pretext of marriage. Due to continuous physical abuse, she became pregnant in 2021. After some time, Palash tricked her into giving her an abortion pill mixed in her food. Due to which she had a miscarriage.
