Sensation spread in the area after the dead body was found. The name of the deceased is being told as Babita Sahu. The shocking thing in this incident is that the husband kept sleeping on the bed inside which the dead body was found for 2 days. It is being told that, after killing his wife, the husband hid the dead body in the diwan (bed) kept in the house, but after a day when the body started smelling strong, he went to the police station and told a false story. He told the police that someone had killed my wife. The matter belongs to Tikrapara police station area.
According to the information received, Kirtan Sahu lived with his wife Babita Sahu near the Patwari office in Lalpur area of the capital. This was the second marriage of Kirtan and Babita. Kirtan had left his first wife. At the same time, Babita had also left her husband. Since then both were living together. Both have children too, but they live separately. Kirtan had reached the police on Friday late evening. There he said that sir, I had gone somewhere. When I returned, there was a foul smell in the house. On opening the divan, I came to know that my wife’s dead body was in it, someone had murdered her.
Due to this there used to be a quarrel between husband and wife.
After the complaint, the police reached the spot. Investigation has been started in the matter. After this, the police first raised suspicion on husband Kirtan Sahu. That’s why first of all Kirtan itself was strictly questioned. In this he accepted his crime. Accused Kirtan told that I am addicted to drinking. I used to quarrel with Babita because of drinking alcohol every day. This had happened many times. She used to oppose my drinking. I used to work as a laborer. That’s why it was difficult to run the expenses of the house.

The accused told that even on the evening of May 11, I had come drunk, but after coming home a dispute started between the two of us. The dispute increased so much that I killed my wife by strangling her. After this the dead body was hidden in the Diwan. I had thought that later I would hide the body somewhere else. I fell asleep after killing. Woke up the next day, then the stench started coming very strong. Meanwhile, I decided to tell a false story to the police.
Interrogation of the accused continues
At present, the police have arrested the accused after he confessed to the crime. Along with this, the dead body of the woman has been recovered and sent for postmortem. The police is still interrogating the accused.
