Prakash Thakur-Kanker. Villagers have taken trucks hostage for the last 5 days in Chelam mine of Kanker district of Chhattisgarh. Villagers have stopped more than 100 trucks transporting iron ore in the Chelam mine, due to which the vehicle owners and truck drivers and operators are troubled. Villagers around the mine are agitating for their demands.

The villagers have said, give jobs to our people in the company. The drivers of the hostage trucks have become upset with this movement of the villagers. It has been 5 days of standing in the forest, the ration has ended, due to which they are on the verge of dying of hunger. Truck owners say that it is not fair to stop the trucks in the fight between the management and the villagers. Despite requests from the administration, no action is being taken, while the agitating villagers are not talking directly.
