Dantewada. An ASI has been injured after being hit by a pressure IED while searching on the border of Sukma district in Dantewada, Chhattisgarh. He was immediately admitted to the hospital for treatment. This entire incident took place in Jagargunda police station area.

According to the information received, the name of the injured ASI is said to be GD Sagar, who is posted in CRPF 231 battalion of Kamarguda. Naxalites had planted a pressure IED just 900 meters away from Kamarguda camp under Jagargunda police station area with the aim of causing harm to the soldiers. CRPF personnel had gone out on searching on Wednesday morning. While searching in the morning, ASI GD Sagar’s foot fell on the pressure IED and it exploded. They were injured due to the IED blast and have been immediately admitted to the hospital for treatment. It is fortunate that no one died in this accident. At present, search operation is going on by security forces in the entire area.
